I.、Preparation before loading

1. Check whether the weight and size of the goods are in accordance with the load parameters of the forklift.

2. Check whether the vehicle itself has oil leakage, lack of gas and other abnormal conditions.

3. Check whether the fork, tyre and brake parts are intact, and replace and repair in time if there is any wear and tear or failure.

II、Precautions during loading

1. Safety Precautions

(1) The driver must wear protective clothing and helmet that meet the safety requirements when operating the forklift, and make sure that there are no sundries in the cab;

(2) Inexperienced employees must not be allowed to operate the forklift truck.

(3) The chassis and forks must not be stepped on, and must not run over objects or damage the ground.

2. Precautions for loading and unloading

(1) Before loading and unloading goods, the vehicle must be parked and held steady on the ground. The fork arm should be raised first, and then the fork seat should be close to the goods.

(2) Fork arm should be inserted into the goods, inserted not deep is not stable, inserted too deep will damage the goods or injury to personnel.

(3) Cargo weight limit, do not overload, otherwise it will easily lead to dangerous situations such as vehicle overturning or cargo falling.

(4) Through the loading of forklift trucks must be guarded and guided after someone, slow in and out of the carriage or lift.

(5) Vehicles should sound the horn before travelling to avoid frightening pedestrians and other vehicles.

III、Forklift truck maintenance and repair

1. Regularly check the parts and components of the forklift to ensure that they are in good condition.

2. Keep the forklift dry and clean, as well as change the oil, filter and other accessories on time.

3. Carry out daily maintenance and repair according to the instruction manual or professional maintenance workers.
